Every day for the next couple of weeks, I aim to highlight one of SQL Server 2008’s new features, simply for awareness. You can then go away and research the area and report back to me, we’ll then discuss how these new features can benefit us all.

Enhanced Database Mirroring
SQL Server 2008 builds on its predecessor (SQL Server 2005) by providing a more reliable platform that has enhanced database mirroring, including automatic page repair, improved performance, and enhanced supportability.
I’ve been engaged in debates over the pros and cons of Mirroring/Clustering/Replication etc many a time – but are these new enhancements to Mirroring a further step towards utopia ?? Has anyone utilised them, needed to use them in DR scenarios ? Let us know.
