SQL Saturday, Southern Tour

Things have worked out where I'll be able to hit a SQL Saturday for this month and each of the next two months. If you're interested, here's where I'll be:

August 15, 2010 - SQL Saturday #51 - Nashville: I'm dropping in to visit friends and family in the Nashville area. Along the way I'll be giving my Fortress SQL Server presentation on SQL Server security. This is primarily geared towards DBAs, but does have useful material for SQL Server developers and Windows system administrators. Basically, I distill my systems and security architect experience along with my SQL Server DBA knowledge to help pass on some helpful tips on how to keep your SQL Servers secure, some areas to look at that your auditors probably haven't caught up with yet (though I'm training to train the ones here in the Midlands area of SC since I'm certified as one).

September 18, 2010 - SQL Saturday #46 - Raleigh: Raleigh is a few hours up the road from Columbia and I'm looking forward to visiting the city again. I've submitted talks and waiting to see if I'm selected. Hopefully I will be. If so, I'll be making the trek to North Carolina.

October 2, 2010 - SQL Saturday #48 - Columbia: I'm part of the team putting together a SQL Saturday here in Columbia, SC and we've been able to secure a great facility and thus far have attracted a number of Microsoft MVPs and Microsoft employees to come and speak. Come out, network, learn something new, and enjoy a day of SQL Server shop talk with your peers!
