SQL Saturday #48 - Columbia, SC - Registration and Call for Speakers is On-line

The website is up for SQL Saturday #48 - Columbia. We're holding it on October 2, 2010, in West Columbia, SC, near the airport. Facilities should be good. We're looking at one of our sponsors to try and provide wireless access for attendees and speakers, but that's still a work in progress. If you'd like to attend or you'd like to submit a session, please go ahead and do so here:

SQL Saturday #48 - Columbia, SC

We initially had a number of SQL Server MVPs interested to speak, so we'll be working hard to try and assemble as many quality speakers as we can. If you haven't spoken before but would like to, SQL Saturdays are a great way to break into giving presentations. If you need to do a dry run, consider speaking at Midlands PASS as well.

October is getting crowded. I was hoping you were going for 2011 when I saw this, since I had committed to this day in Oct already for KC (SQL Sat#53).

Good luck, and I'll see if I can get Andy to wander up.

We're going to put our best foot forward with this one, but admittedly, it's a learning experience. The crew has had one code camp under our belt and we learned a lot from that. Our plans are to ensure there's at least one Code Camp and at least one SQL Saturday in Columbia for 2011, building off the experience and effort from the two events in 2010.

With that said, I hope Andy and Jack Corbett can make it up. We've already got two other Andys participating (Andy Leonard and Andy Kelly). If Andy and Jack make it, we might be able to do a spoof of the Bob Newhart show. ;-)
