A group of us met on Thursday, December 7th, 2006, and voted to approve the bylaws and a motion to become an official Professional Association of SQL Server (PASS) chapter. On Friday morning I faxed off the letter of understanding to PASS HQ, so we're all set. Officer elections will be held at the January meeting on January 3rd, 2007. The location of the meeting will be the same: Training Concepts in Columbia, SC.
If you are interested in participating in the Midlands PASS chapter, please contact me at brian_kelley@sqlpass.org with a subject of Midlands PASS. We are specifically for Columbia, SC, but given there are no other PASS chapters in SC and I think the PASS chapter in Charlotte, NC is pretty much inactive, we also have interested parties from Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC. If you're from the surrounding area, we'd love to have you be a part of the chapter!
