I was catching up on my blog reading and found the following post from Jamie Thomson:

SSIS: Another SP1 problem

The post contains an explanation for the "The SQL Server Integration Services service failed to start due to the following error: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" error some are seeing after an SP1 install.
