I was catching up on my blog reading and found the following post from Jamie Thomson:
SSIS: Another SP1 problem
The post contains an explanation for the "The SQL Server Integration
Services service failed to start due to the following error: The
service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely
fashion" error some are seeing after an SP1 install. If you're having
this issue, check out the conditions where the fix works and see if
that applies in your case.
