I'll save the comment on the columns, can't say it bothers me, but we'll watch the trend:-)

Right now the plan is to announce them in the Connector, I'd really like to use it as a way to drive people to read the Connector - that too much of a scheme?

General comments that probably belongs somewhere else, but since I'm here:

1 - two columns in an electronic document is just annoying.

(And I realize that my annoyance level is very important to everyone. ;p)

2 - how do I subscribe to something that delivers/notifies me when new editions appear? The page on SQLPass.org doesn't have anything of that type, or an RSS feed.

I'm right there with you, although at a different balance point. I definitely like interacting with people, and I share a lot, but I value my privacy. Living out in the country is really nice some times.

Thanks for blogging about this! I'm thinking, trying to put my finger on why I'm still not getting it, and I've only got some disjointed thoughts so far.

It might be cool to use PASS's current branding themes. I'd also think about adding promotional linkage to the rest of PASS - the local chapters, the Summit, and maybe a place to discuss the article.

Andy, hope you feel better. Lots of people who came to the summit got bitten by the bug, I counted upto 12 people last night, among those i knew. I just got better this monday and started work, still not in full spirits yet. Take care.

Interesting approach. Probably not something for the average geek to carry around, but for consultants or business owners it could be a good idea, unique enough to catch attention.

I absolutely agree: It was a great event! I did better than previous years on networking, but still have a long way to go. My goal for next Summit: 25 additions to my network.

My vote for a closing session. I Think that would be well received considering the number of people that stays for the post conference and have late flights.

How do you end such a great event? Maybe a closing talk from a few of the board members. Maybe a talk from someone at PASS HQ. No matter the fashion something must be done to finalize an event that has such a lasting effect. Is it time for my next session :O. Oh yeah, the PASS conference is over :(. See you all next year a PASS.

I'd have voted against a closing session in years past, but I was surprised how many people were hanging out on thur afternoon on our couches. I think some closing might be good if we end on Thur.

I agree with yo on the downtime. I took the elevator a few times, just to get 3 minutes of quiet time.
