Email them, call them, instant message them – pick your preferred method, and send a message that says “I think you’d be a great candidate for the PASS Board this year”. Add to if you will, but start the conversation. Remember that we all struggle to know when and if we’re ready for a challenge, and it’s a tremendous boost to have someone tell us that we are. Every year I run down my LinkedIn list and try to think about who might be ready and I sent a dozen or so emails. It’s a little thing that might make a big difference.
