This past weekend I was doing some early Spring cleaning and decided it was time to throw out two old servers. Still working, but long past their prime – purchased in 2006. They are sturdy boxes as far as construction, something I noticed as I was carrying them to the door to put out for trash. Sturdy enough even…for a bench! Ten  minutes with some recycled lumber from another project and I had a working prototype. The top is just sitting on the servers for now, with a ledger piece at each end to keep it from sliding from side to side. I ‘m looking at it now thinking eh, maybe a nicer seat would make it look better. Maybe.
