SQLAndy

I'm Andy Warren, currently a SQL Server trainer with End to End Training. Over the past few years I've been a developer, DBA, and IT Director. I was one of the original founders of SQLServerCentral.com and helped grow that community from zero to about 300k members before deciding to move on to other ventures.

PCI Compliance Presentation on July 17, 2013

Next week I’ll be doing a new presentation about PCI compliance – aka dealing with credit cards – online (follow this link for free registration). My goal is to put PCI in perspective for DBA’s, starting with a quick overview of what PCI is, then discussing how audits work, and then some information about what to expect if you’re the owner of a database that contains PCI relevant data. I’m hoping this presentation will be useful to someone who already has a PCI requirement and more useful to someone who is thinking about storing credit data (or just wants to learn for the future). Thanks for Brian Kelley and Andy Leonard of Linchpin People for setting up the webinar.

I’ll be doing the same presentation in person at SQLSaturday #231 in Cocoa on July 27, 2013.
