Today Microsoft and Bungie Studios, makers of the Halo game series, have announced a new title: Database Wars. This new title is a first person shooter game that requires database security and security analysis skills in a futuristic Virtual Reality network.

The mission: Defend your database from the constant threats of hackers and unauthorized users in this VR simulation. It's 2015 and SQL Server includes new VR client tools to allow you to manage your databases. Your avatar moves easily among a cityscape where each building represents a node on a network and the libraries are your database servers. You move through the city, performaing maintenance, analyzing the traffic coming in and out of your server, watching the "books" being checked out. Look for unauthorized users that take books they are not allowed to have.

Choose from a variety of real cityscapes: Redmond, Seattle, Bellvue, Issaquah, Olympia, Ranier, and more! Customize your libraries to simulate the real types of systems you manage, choosing from Dynamics, Operations Center, MOM, FRx, Performance Point, and more! See real Microcsoft executive avatars asking for various tasks to be performed. And watch out for flying chairs!

Pre-order your copy today and enjoy your extended workday.

Note: Ultimate edition includes Hot Key to bring up SSMS at any time!

Second Note: April Fools! This story is a complete fabrication
