Invitation to startup meeting for PASS Scania and SQLUG

Inbjudan till uppstartsmöte med PASS SCANIA och SQLUG

PASS 

PASS SCANIA är en ny underavdelning till PASS (Professional Association for SQL Server) som är tänkt att främja intresset, kontaktnätet och kunskapsutvecklingen för professionella SQL Server-användare som utvecklare, DBA:er ochBI-specialister i Skåne. Föreningen har också ett samarbete med den befintliga svenska användarföreningen inom samma område, SQLUG, bland annat för gemensamma arrangemang.

Alla utvecklare som använder SQL Server plattformen i sitt dagliga arbete är välkomna att delta i de seminarier som kommer att anordnas med start 2010. Både konsulter och fast anställda är välkomna.

Medlemskap och seminarier är gratis och aktiviteter finansieras i huvudsak genom sponsorer.

Ett första möte kommer att äga rum i Februari där nya medlemmar kan presentera sig, PASS Scanias program under 2010 presenteras och Microsofts nya BI-verktyg, PowerPivot visas och diskuteras.

Planerat tema för aktiviteterna under våren 2010 är en genomgång av index-strategier och prestandaförbättringar.

Välkomna till PASS Scanias första träff den 4:e Februari kl 18:00 på S:t Gertruds konferenscenter i Malmö. För mer information om program och anmälan, besök vår hemsida http://www.pass-scania.se/. PASS Scania is a new PASS chapter in Sweden which will promote the interest, networking and knowledge for professional SQL Server-users such as developers, DBA's and BI-specialist in Skåne. The Chapter also has a business alliance with an existing usergroup SQLUG.

All developers who use SQL Server platform in their work is welcome to participate in the seminars with start february 4th 2010. Both consultants and employees are welcome.

Membership and seminars are free and activities are mainly sponsored events.

First meeting is held in feburary where new members have the opportunity to present themself, we will present the agenda for 2010 and we will also demonstrate the new Microsoft PowerPivot platform.

Further seminars will include how to read and interpret execution plans, how to decide for an index strategy and query performance considerations.

Welcome to PASS Scania first event on the 4th of February 2010 at S:t Gertruds in Malmö at 18:00. More about agenda is found on www.pass-scania.se where you also register. Number of seats are limited and are restricted to sequence of registrations.
