Columbus SQL Server Users Group

First meeting: March 25, 2009

Bob Cheatham, a Microsoft Database Technology Solution Specialist for the Greater Southeast District has agreed to come down from Birmingham and help us kick of the fisrt meeting. He will presenting a high level overview of the SQL Server components including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and the relational engine specifically targeting SQL Server 2008.

The meeting will be on March 25, from 3:00 - 7:00 at the Columbus Public Library (http://www.thecolumbuslibrary.org/librarybranches/columbuspubliclibrary.html)

Our schedule will be:

  • 3:00 P.M.-3:30 P.M.  Registration, networking
  • 3:30 P.M.-4:00 P.M.  Announcements and business
  • 4:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M.  Main Presentation
  • 5:00 P.M.-5:30 P.M.  Question-and-answer period
  • 5:30 P.M.-  ?            Informal meetings, raffle drawings, etc.
