Holiday Stress Test

Are you ready for the holidays? Are your systems?

Red Gate software builds software to help you try and get your systems ready for the holidays. ANTS Load is one of their products that stress tests web systems of all kinds. ASP.NET and ASP applications as well as ASP.NET web services. And all kinds of loads and scenarios, too many to list. Since we're primarily DBAs and not developers, I won't go into the details below, but you can check them out at Red Gate.

To make their point, Red Gate built a short animated movie about a company needing to load test to prepare for the holiday season. The animation is a little cute, or a little cheesy depending on your mood. A Scrooge kind of take off, they don't load test, etc. etc. You can probably guess the plot.

Still it's a nice little way to take a break at work and "research" a new product :)

From Red Gate: As the holiday season is fast approaching, we would like to help people ensure their websites are ready for the shopping rush. As a friend of Red Gate I wanted to give you a sneak preview of a short animation we're about to start running to demonstrate, in a light hearted way, the importance of load testing a website. This animation updates the holiday classic 'A Christmas Carol' for website developers around the world.
