Just a quick update.

Over the past few  months we've written a few times about our Best of SQLServerCentral.com 2002 book project. We have it in stock and are shipping now! Here are answers to the questions we've seen so far:

1) How much is the book if I live in ....? We're shipping at the lowest cost method available, so definitely expect 4-6 weeks for delivery. Prices subject to change! If they do, our order page will be updated appropriately.

$20.00 US/Canada
$24.65 UK, France, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Luxembourg, Ireland, Germany, Spain
$24.85 Australia/New Zealand
$26.65 Chile, Malaysia, Brazil, Austria, India, South Africa, Bermuda

2) What is the CCV? Usually this is a 3 or 4 digit number on the back of your credit card, used to help prevent fraud.

3) Did my order go through? You'll get an automatic email from the card service if your order is placed successfully. We've had a few issues with timeouts (the card service got hit wit DDos attacks twice, just our luck), but overall we've had few problems. If you do encounter a problem, please email us at bestof@sqlservercentral.com. If you don't get a reply in a couple days, follow up - it's entirely possible that we missed it or the spam filter got it.

4) Are you going to do a book next year? We'd definitely like to, we think it's great exposure for both the site and all the contributing authors, but we'll have to see how the sales work out. More info later in the year.

5) Where do I go to order? We haven't advertised it much so far, so a lot of people were looking for the link - sorry! Starting next week we'll have a banner ad up and you'll see it in the newsletter from time to time. Anyway, here is the link

I have to tell you, it was a lot of work getting this done, but actually getting it in the hands of readers has been worth the effort. We do think of ourselves as a community, but it's not until you start putting books in the mail (yes, I mail every one myself) that you realize the extent. We've had orders from 35 states here in the US, members of the local SQL users group, from my CIO at my real job (thanks Tina!), plus 18 other countries!

Australia
Austria
Brazil
Canada
Denmark
France
India
Ireland
Italy
Malaysia
Netherlands
New Zealand
Norway
Russia
South Africa
Spain
Sweden
United Kingdom
United States

That's it for this time. If you've got a question of any kind, please just email us directly at bestof@sqlservercentral.com and of course feel free to post comments to the attached discussion forum. To those of you who have ordered a copy, once again we'd like to say thank you and hope you enjoy the book!
