The SQL Server 2008 Upgrade Analyzer can consume trace files taken with SQL Server Profiler. My question is, what events and columns are necessary to be captured in the trace? I want to capture as much as necessary, but balance both the amount of data captured and performance of the system. I have been unable to locate anything specific regarding the events needed for the trace.
