I noticed when using the odbcad32.exe from %windir%\syswow64\ that when I go to create a System DSN using the SQL Server Driver, it shows me the details of that driver as: SQL Server 2.65.02.40 10/12/2009
If I look at SQL Server Driver versions here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms811006.aspx I see that 2.65.x is shipped with SQL Server 6.5 from December 1996.
I look at another x64 box with SQL Server 2005 installed and I see version 2000.86.3959. I was actually expecting to see a version of 2005.x.x.x
Anyone have any confirmation or other information on what this 2.65.x driver version is? Google comes up blank with exception of the above link.
More importantly, how can I restore the SQL 2k5 version of this SQLSRV32.dll?
Env: Windows 2003 Ent x64 w/SQL Server 2005 tools installed.
