Hi All,
Our organization have two Database Servers (SQL Server 2005), geographically located at different locations. I have been assigned task of preparing a detailed documentation for these Database Servers.
I tried to look for the
samples
and
templates
for “
Database Server Documentation
” on Internet, but without any luck.
There are many Tools available for “Server Documentation”, but I don’t want to use tools. I have to make “Documentation” in simple DOC file.
It will be of great help if any one can upload good samples or templates for “Database Server Documentation”. OR even links to helpful online resources will do.
Regards,
Bhavesh

Trye DBDesc at http://www.dbdesc.com/purchase.html?dbdesc
I have my own scripts for MSSQL however there are couple of other flavors of DBs such as FireBird that I did not want to go and learn the system so I could document the DB therefore I used this tool and viola I am done with that.
give it a shot..
good luck
Cheers,

You can also try SQLSpec. We are in the process of evaluating that currently. It can build some nice "webby" reports.

Both
DBDesc

Aren't there any
freewares
for "Database Server Documantation" available?
