Ctrl + F or Ctrl + H is not working

    the window where we can enter search parameters is not coming up even after i press Ctrl + F or Ctrl + H. Neither it is coming up when i go to edit -> find and replace -> quick find.

    Please tell me why is that happens. Is it that i have mistakenly checked on some option so that it would not come up?

    change your screen resolution;

    I've had that happen to me in visual studio, where the find and replace comes up as an undocked window, and gets tossed to a point that is off screen. changing the screen resolution can either make the form visible, or it might force windows to move the form into the visible area.

    alternatively, you can grab an application like sizer 3.3, which lets you resize a window, and also put it in a specific place, (ie upper left corner, or 100px, or whatever)
