For diaster recovery, we are storing the backup into external drive in another server(in our office only) by using ftp.

We use the ‘SyncbackPro’ tool which creates a ‘windows scheduled task’. This scheduled task runs every 5 minutes and compresses and encrypts backup files. The compressed and encrypted file is saved to hard disk on the server. The compressed and encrypted files are copied to an external hard drive connected to the server. The files are copied to an offsite location using ftp.

Now from last couple of days backup files are not copying to external drive, getting below error. And I could not see the old files in folder too. When restarted the server, the external drive disconnects again i am connecting drive maually, then files are copying and looks good. What is the solution for below error? why I am not seeing old files in folder and why drive disconnecting when I restart? Please advice

error: Windows, delayed write failed
Windows was unable to save all the data for the file F:\xxxx\yyy. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere
