First question:
My disc for SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition shows 3 directories (eg. 2003, 2005 part 1, 2005 part 2) and multiple set up files.
I've read the installation notes that say to run the splash.hta file. Is this correct to start the intallation wizard? If so which file in which directory (TOOLS or SERVER)?
Second Question:
I've also watched a quick video on installation of SQL Server 2005 Standard edition and noticed that if you choose to install Reporting Services, which i want to, there is a warning that appears about IIS.
Is it better to install IIS before i run the installation or after?

you should click the spalsh.hts from server directory.
SQL Installation generates warning message on IIS if you do not have IIs installed and that is because IIS is a must in order to install reporting services.
If you do not have IIS, SQL Installer will disable the reporting services installation option.
