Can anybody suggest me how to patch my sql server with latest updates ?
I am looking for step-by-step procedure to apply patches.

A couple of options are:
Use SMS
Use WSUS
Both of these will allow you to see the updates coming, review them, apply them to a test environment first, and then approve or reject them for release to prod.

They are microsoft solutions that will support the various flavors of SQL Server as well as other Microsoft products (it would be akin to going to Windows Update).
