I need high end server configuration details.

I have listed below the details required:We have database server which contains maximum of 250 databases.
As it could not handle 1000 users we planned to add additional servers.

DBMS: MS SQL Server 2005
Size of MDF file:1.32 GB approximately
Technology used: MS Sync Framework, Web services, Windows services,.Net Framework 3.5
No. of Concurrent Users: 1000
Internet bandwidth: 5 Mbps Down and 1 Mbps Up

I need
Minimum number of users the server can support:
RAM Capacity:
Hard Disk size:
Processor Speed:

If you want more details please let me know. Also, I have added the abstract of the application.

The users would be doing some operations in an offline mode (without internet connection through laptop)and data stored in sql server express.

UP SYNC Synchronization: Using Microsoft Sync Framework, the data from laptop is uploaded into sql server 2005 Enterprise edition in online mode (with internet connection).

DOWN SYNC Synchronization: From server the data is transferred to client in online mode (with internet connection).
