Very well written step by step article. I for some reason always like articles / SOP with screen shots. They are easy to understand and for a good presentation.

SanjayAttray (5/13/2009) Very well written step by step article. I for some reason always like articles / SOP with screen shots. They are easy to understand and for a good presentation.
And another reason, Screen shots make SOP longer and Manager's always love to see them.

When host machine attached to existing domain you don't really need third machine running domain controller.
Loopback adapter provides sufficient utility to configure public network for cluster and expose Virtual Instance IP through route built to host external adapter.
An inconvenience is when connecting to SQL Server Instance need to specify port in the connection string ( alternately one could configure an alias on the client )
It would be really nice if Browser service could be installed separately and bound to an IP ( or FQDN ) with Port ( an address as opposed to installed SQL Server Instance ). Would be very helpful in solving above inconvenience.

thank you for all the +ve comments, i just hope this is useful to you all somehow. Its great for testing and if you blow away the cluster you dont have to get embarrassed and start typing your resume (leaving out the bit about hosing the companies sql server cluster )
