as a followup, where in the states can you even take the test? I used to go thru New Horizons but I cannot even find the test listed on their website.

You should be able to search for exam centres and book online

yeah... their site doesn't mention the 2008 tests anywhere that I can find, I can only see info for 2005. I guess I could just call them. *shrug*
EDIT: Yeah! prometric was the site I was looking for... they have all the information, New Horizon was just where I took the tests. thanks!

Prometric and Vue are the testing places.
I'm not sure of the status of the 2008 exams. They are really new, so they might not be distributed everywhere, or on the web sites

Is Vue still running the MS exams over in the US? I thought MS dropped them completely a couple years back, or was it just elsewhere in the world?

I used them for a 2005 exam, not sure if it was 06 or 07.

Question on registering for an exam with Prometric:
I'm trying to register online from Canada and I'm asked to enter an exam sponsor, which I take it is the company I work for?
http://www.register.prometric.com/ClientProgram.asp
I don't see the point of this information being required...
In any case, I'm stomped, what should I do other than calling Prometric directly?
