Excellent article. Thanks. I only wish I could use Firefox at work. Still, this is some interesting stuff. No, I hadn't been using a wiki to manage my info. I'm looking into it now. Thanks again.

Nice list of tools. I plan to look into the synergy software.
While I do use Firefox, Internet Explorer is the companies preferred browser, and I also like using Opera/Chrome at times. To share bookmarks between browsers and computers, I use the free web based bookmarking tool
Linkagogo
. Bookmarks can be kept private or shared.
I too use FastDial on Firefox but when I want to share quick dials between browsers, I use
Safari Dial
. This web based quick dial tool provides 9 quick dial boxes. Just make it your home page on each of your browsers and you have the same 9 quick dials. I admit 9 is a little limited for me but you just need to pick the nine most important links.

OK. Now I have questions. My contacts & calendar are managed through Outlook and my phone (Blackberry currently, going to change soon). Can you sync that with one of these tiddlywiki things? Sorry, you started the ball rolling and now you're the expert.

I like it!
I use
Ubiquity
(a lot) on Firefox.

Useful info...but not really specific to DBAs or any other profession. More like "general organizational tips".

Good list for all those who use Firefox but nothing here for a DBA or Developer.
Thanks though.

I agree completely. It's a great article for Firefox enthusiasts, but it offers nothing that would make me a better DBA.
The last thing a good dba needs is for his mouse movements and keyboard strokes to be mimicked on another computer. While I'm defragging an index on one computer, I might be accidentally dropping a database on another.

I would start
here
, and also look at the plugins
here
.
I'm no expert by any means.
