What is the best way to assign a default schema in a database for a Window group?

I am trying to do it, but each time I am getting message sing the "The DEFAULT_SCHEMA clause can't be used with a Windows Group".

You can not assigned a default schema to an NT group.

Read up in this thread, as you'll see, this has been quite an inconvenience for many people.

As everyone, I am surprise that we are still having this issue. Meanwhile, as anyone as found a workaround?

I have and old apps that with lots of users in the Window groups. I don't want to create news users for all members of the NT group. Since it will be harder to manage and not sure how the application will react.
