Hi! Friends

I have an application which is visual c# windows mobile 5.0 pocket pc application (device application). I am trying to add a .sdf file as a data source to the application. I did "Add new data source" but i am not getting "sql server windows mobile edition" option so that I can attach my .sdf file. I had installed microsoft sql server 2005 mobile edition sdk, but still the problem persists. Do I need to make any registry settings. I appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance,
Usha.

You are probably missing Visual Studio Service Pack 1.

See my blog post http://arcanecode.wordpress.com/2007/04/24/sql-server-2005-compact-edition-important-component/ for a complete list of all the components you'll need to use Compact Edition in Visual Studio 2005.

I also have other posts in the Arcane Lessons link at the top of my page on SSCE if you need them.
