...In the absence of a feature that would block or hide posts from a particular person, the only suggestion I have is to just ignore those "nuh-uh!"/"yuh-huh!" posts. People who just want to argue go away pretty quickly once they realize that they can't carry on an argument by themselves.

I see what you did there.

What was it you said, Wolf?

Walk away. Put down that database-erasing magnet and just walk away.

So this morning I've been frantically searching the internet on articles to help clarify a problem I'm experiencing, and what do I see?

Gail Shaw's name all over the place.

Hrm. In case I haven't said this enough: thank you, Gail. Your clear, concise and thoughtful answers from the past several years (some old articles here) just saved me a lot of heartache.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

Ladies, both--

This is, IMNERHO, what this forum makes me proud of being a threadizen, even when I did not make any contribution in this case.

My best to both of you, and I hope you have a great weekend.

My thanks to Gail!
With her clarifying a few things for me (such as SQLs usage of multiple transaction log files) I was able to run a compression, shrink, clustered index rebuild, non-clustered index compression and rebuild, with no problems!

Set up an agent job to do this stuff, e-mail when done, and enjoyed my weekend!
