Hello room,

I tried to add addition tcp/ip port on my sql 2000 via UI.

--Start the SQL Server Network Utility in SQL Server 2000.
--Select TCP, click Properties, and then enter the additional port separated by a comma;
--for example: 1433,5000.

After I restart my sql server services, the tcp/ip port will default back to 1433.

Can you help and advice on this?

Thanks,
Edwin
