project could not be deployed

  • Error 1 The project could not be deployed to the server because of the following connectivity problems : A connection cannot be made to redirector. Ensure that 'SQL Browser' service is running. To verify or update the name of the target server, right-click on the project in Solution Explorer, select Project Properties, click on the Deployment tab, and then enter the name of the server. 0 0

SQL browser is running. The service is running under administrator from the domain which is the same as the SQL server itself. The analysis server is on the same machine as the SQL server. It is running SP2. Does anyone know why I can not deploy this cube. This is the first cube on this machine.

  • Hi,

Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

  • That was a while back but if I remember right it was a permissions issue. Once I got the permissions right for the server I was good to go.

  • Hi friends

    Please make me clear.

what is basically the 'localhost'? Is it SQL Server Instance?

    Thx

  • localhost is a way of referring to the local server

First, this question is completely unrelated to the original question. You're better off starting a new thread than hijacking a completely unrelated thread. People who can answer your question and other people who have the same question can more easily find it when the subject line of the thread matches the question.

Second, the original thread is over three years old. You're better off starting a new thread than resurrecting a three year old thread, so that people don't need to wade through (sometimes) pages of old posts just to get to your question. (If you feel that the old thread is REALLY relevant, feel free to include a link to the old thread.)
