The search option should be able search items from all articles/Forums/Scripts. I found that there are many article which may be related to a particular searched topic, but it is never displayed in search results.

Search should cover all articles. Can you elaborate on which terms you used and which article you were looking for?

For example I was looking for xp_cmdshell. No results are displayed if I write 'xp_cmdshell' in the box for Search and click on 'Go' button; although it is present in one of the articles 'using Xp_cmdshell'

Are you blocking Google in some way? did you include the quotes around xp_cmdshell?
I find quite a few results using Search in the upper right corner here.

In my opinion search should also be within the forum. Now google search is implemented on SQLSERVERCentral.com and searches within the complete website including articles
and
the forum.
I would appreciate searching within forums. eg. If i am interested in SQL2005 and DBA i want to search just within this topic related to my search.
