Hi

I have SQL2005 on desktop and SQL2000 on laptop. I use laptop during my laborious 2 hour commute. When I (eventually) get home at night, I want to plug the laptop into my LAN and for SQL to magically update the desktop with any changes I've made. Then, whilst I am working on the desktop, I want changes reflected on the laptop.

Is this possible - is it 'replication' or is there some other facility? I am not a DBA by a long way. I've googled but it seems replication needs both servers connected all the time?

Any help would be appreciated.

--MOD : Found this in the forums, so will try it
