I have a DTS package that is stored on SQL Server. The package is quite large and is used to import flat files into individual tables within a database. It also contains some ActiveX functions to modify some date fields.

I updated the package last week, it ran fine and I was able to access it up until today. Now, when I try to open the latest version I am receiving the following Package Error:

Error Source : Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package
Error Description : Catastrophic failure

I can open the prior version of the package just fine, but I am trying to avoid re-doing all of the changes I made last week.

I should mention that this happened to me on a previous version of this same package about a month ago and I did end up having to open a prior version and make my changes again.

I'm not sure what could be causing this. The package is large but hardly complex. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to avoid this happening again!

Thank you!
