JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Database Administrator
Department: Business Intelligence
Job Objective:
To provide excellent service and quality solutions in the development, enhancement and maintenance of database systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
* Minimum three (3) years experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies (SQL Server 2005 preferred)
* Experience with administering database servers including installation, configuration, backups, maintenance, security and job systems
* Experience implementing, supporting and upgrading database applications including custom web applications, 3rd party software and custom interfaces for enterprise level software
* Advanced Transact-SQL Skills for building queries and other database objects (tables, views, stored procedures)
* Excellent written and oral communications skills and strong team working skills
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
* Experience with SQL Server Data Transformation Services (DTS) and/or Integration Services (SSIS)
* Experience with Replication, Analysis Services, Reporting Services
* Basic understanding of database server hardware and Windows operating systems
* Microsoft Certifications (MCDBA, MCTS-SQL Server 2005)
* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems
