I've created several alerts, it seems to be working correctly.

But .... why is alert 014 (SQL Server event alert, severity 14 insufficient permission) raised when a succesful connection is made?

I get the message "Login succeeded for user "domain\user". Connection: Trusted.

This is not an insufficient permission? Why is the alert raised?

Any help or suggestions is welcome!

I too would like to know more about his alert. I had a job starting to fail due to insuffecient permissions on the Agent Account trying to access a share. Error was Permission denied in the job error detail.

Can I use this alert to detect permission errors on jobs?
