Help : Reporting Services Uninstall failed

    Hi All,

    I installed SQL Server suite on my Windows2000 Advanced Server. My Reporting services were not working properly, so I tried to unistall whole suite & reinstall it.

    I was able to remove everything except Reporting Services. Then I deleted Virtual Directories & website from IIS 5. then retired but no luck, the error says,

    The Setup failed to read IIsMimeMap table. The error code is -2147024893

    Can anybody please guide me? It is not reinstalling if I leave Reporting Services as they are.

    try stopping the iis service, then try uninstalling. that should work.

    I have tried removing IIS and reinstalling and reinstall SQL Server Reporting Services.

    Seems to install ok, When i start Reporting Services Configuration tool i get this error when it tries to connect:

    an unknown error has occured in the WMI provider. Error code 80040219

    you can just click on ignore installing WMI and continue. the setup will continue and finish installing

    It is actually easy to work around this issue.

    •Go to the service control panel.

    •Find IIS Administrator

    •Disable the service and stop it.

    •Uninstall the SQL 2005 (by now the only remenant is the uninstalled Reporting service).

    IF it does not works , remove all the features related to SQL server 2005 and then try to uninstall the main SQL Server 2005
