Hi,
I could not find the QOD discussion for today, so I am replying on QOD of April 26 2006 when we had a very similar question. Both times the question does not specify how they rank in Golf: with or without gaps. Is it 1 2 2 3 or 1 2 2 4 ? The answer really depends on it

I think Dense_Rank option answer should also be awarded points as it was not specified anywhere regarding this..
I select DENSE_RANK as it leaves no gaps in rank as RANK() do..
