Reading around managing Report Server and the related database, ReportServerTempDB is much like TempDB, but not automatically created on a restart. It also has some persisted data, typically cached reports. I've not yet found anything that says anything more backup up the database for recovery purposes. I have however come across clients who log ship ReportServerTempDB and some who insist on optimisation.
I'm interested to see what DBAs out there are doing to maintain RSTempDB.

We just treat it like any other database, so whatever maintenance routines there are will also happen to ReportServerTempDB...
