I have a new client and they have
"Derry" database. There are lots of daily
ETL processes that load Vendor files into Derry.
For some reason they decided to take some load off Derry and created
Replication database DerryRep.
Now they have lots of problems with Replication.
Cannot finish Replication on-time, causes timeouts in ETL...
I'm about to find out what kind of problems they have.
I don't know much about Replication
but in general - Is it a good idea to have Replication on the
database that is heavily used by ETL processes?
For example their single ETL process "SCOTT Uploads" inserts 2 million rows daily...
Sounds like a killer for Replication...
