  Hey there,

  Just trying to find some up to date info on SQL Azure, would I be right in saying that Federations were retired, and people used Sharding instead, but that too has been retired, and now people use elastic azure services now?

  Sharding is still a choice that you can do. Federations are gone for sure and certain.
