At the moment our current Sage SQL Server is running out of power so we have purchased a new DL580Gen9 with 1TB of RAM.
Currently this is also a publisher/distributor and replicates a number of databases to several subscribers.
I have used Veeam to snapshot the OS and used bare metal recovery to restore this to the new server and will restore the main DBs in use for testing of Sage.
On cutover day we will schedule in some maintenance stop access to Sage etc and perform last backups of the DBs and restore to the cloned box - how do I migrate across the replication databases etc so when we do the physical switchover replication just carries on as normal?
