  • Really fascinating that this is being successfully applied to a larger scale project as this is what most often fails. Even after a successful small scale proof of concept.

  • What surprises me is to not see much interest in speeding up software releases. I'm not sure why that is, but it is.

    What surprises me is to not see much interest in speeding up software releases. I'm not sure why that is, but it is.

    In my experience it is the perceived lack of higher level manageability of it all.

    So you're saying that some consider it likely they'll be an unacceptably higher management of software, should we speed up releases? Hmmm. I've got to think about that. And I'll try to discretely ask around about that, too.

  • Certainly the relationships among people cause issues in both private and public IT efforts.

    Moving fast, however, being lean, is more about a mindset and cultural change. It can happen in government as well as private enterprise if we adjust culture to work towards goals in improving IT systems and process over individual career wins

    That's incredibly hard, so I'm not making light of this.

    I wasn't clear. Management sometimes get nervous and fail to support new initiatives when they feel that they lose control by the removal of control structures they rely on.
