  We're nearing an upgrade from 2012 to 2014 and nobody responds to questions about the upgrade advisor in the 2014 forum. It won't run on most of our prod equipment ( network path not found error ). On some other environments it reports success with no details in the report, at all. The log then shows odd things like those below that imply it can't run all checks against the 64 bit enterprise version of 2012 or against certain patch levels. So far pretty unimpressed.

  Here are some log entries after running the Upgrade Advisor against one of our Enterprise Edition ( 64-bit ) instances. I get similar results in QA and some prod instances, all of which are at patch level 11.00.5582

  It reports success with no details of any kind in the report, but the log shows things like those below ( I ran the 64-bit version of the tool )
