Blank every other page-not a body size or margin or page break problem...

  • Hello - My report is landscape, 11 x 8.5. I have checked my body size (10.22); my margins are set at .25 on either side, so I should have a comfortable space there. I checked my page breaks on my groups, my header, and my footer - nothing is set to break anywhere. And yet, I'm still getting a blank page every other page, and there are page numbers, so they "count" as pages. What in the heck could I be missing? Instead of 10 pages, I've got 20.:crazy:

    Any suggestions?

    I've had a problem with report parts being hidden by others in the past. It might be worth checking if there's anything lurking near the bottom that's running on to the other page.

  • No report parts from others, either...I have a footer, but there's nothing in it yet (too busy building the body); I have a header, but again, it doesn't even go all the way across the body (because I shrank it a bit to see if it was overlapping unbeknownst to me). I do have a column group (first time I've worked with those), but even spread out to the max number of instances, the columns still don't go all the way across the body, never mind impede the margin on the right.

    UPDATE

    I removed the title altogether and moved the right side of the body over next to the group column. No more skipping pages. If I put the title back, it skips again - even though the width of the title is less than the available area. So obviously it has something to do with the column group co-opting space somehow. Well, I need a header and a footer on the report, so...any way to get them to co-exist and play nicely?

    FOUND IT!!

    Out there in Google Land - set the report property ConsumeContainerWhitespace (under Other) to TRUE (the default is False), and the madness will stop! Phew...tough one.
