Is there any default option wherein I would receive an email alert in case of further replies to topics that I may have started or replied.
I am aware of the "Subscribe To Topic" option but that would mean setting it up individually for each topic.I would like it enabled by default for every topic that I have replied to.

That's the way it does work for me. I suggest you go through your SSC user profile settings & see whether the option is there somewhere.
If you haven't even tried to resolve your issue, please don't expect the hard-working volunteers here to waste their time providing links to answers which you could easily have found yourself.

When you reply (or start) a topic, there is a drop down below the edit box. This has the subscription type.
By default it is set for immediate notification. If you change this, that is your new default. BAsically a toggle.
If you leave it alone, you are subscribed for the topic.
