on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)

this above version, I want to upgrade to Windows Server 2008 R2 with all BI Tool [SSIS,SSRS]

    so is it Possible ?

  • It appears you need SP2 from SQL Server 2005, but it should work.

  • but some article i have read out that we can't upgrade windows server 2008R2 but we can on win server 2008 .

    Is is right information ?

  • I see a few posts that this should work with SP3, but can't find anything from MS about this.

Don't have a 2005 instance to check this on W2003. If you can, perhaps you can P->V the instance and then upgrade Windows?

  • Need SP3
