I'm still looking forward to the sky writing...

--Jeff Moden
"RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for "Row-By-Agonizing-Row".

First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
Stop thinking about what you want to do to a row... think, instead, of what you want to do to a column."

(play on words) "Just because you CAN do something in T-SQL, doesn't mean you SHOULDN'T." --22 Aug 2013

Apparently it's not working: http://146.176.166.22/~andrew/s2/execsql.pl Suffered: 500 Internal Server Error

Those interactive ones are ripe for SQL Injection attacks.

Hello,

I have been using http://www.sql-ex.ru/.
Great site. Full of excersises with varying difficulty.

Joe,

I 'll buy your book. Thanks for your note.

And, I strongly disagree asking Joe for the scripts and text. I don't believe we are being respectful enough.

That's pretty cool. One recommendation would be that if anyone wants to use XML to do a split, you might not want to work for them.

My other recommendation would be that it would really be helpful to neophytes if you provided code to generate, say, a million rows of sample data so that people can also learn about how to make such things fast.
