Hello,
I am an accidental DBA and need some help, I have read about a tool called SQL Nexus which is wonderful IF it works 😀 i have installed it and configured as mentioned on https://sqlnexus.codeplex.com/ Problem is that when i try to import Output of SQLDiag or PSSDiag ( i tested both of them, PSSDiag packages and SQL Perf Scripts) i get an error message on TRC file.
It always fails to read TRC file, I have updated my RML Utilities, I started command prompt, navigated to RML Utilities (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Corporation\RMLUtils) and did run orca.exe /R to register it with SQL Nexus...But nothing is working. I have tried the same SQL Nexus on Windows 8.1 and on Windows 7.
Just for the testing purporses, i did run the SQLDiag Perf script on another instance of SQL Server 2012 (completely different server) still the trace file fails and the application cannot read it. It seems I am not doing something right....else trc would not fail always. To my understanding i have checked everything i could
1: Select the correct versions of SQL Server while making PSSDiag package or executed the correct Perf scripts of SQLDiag
2: As for as configuration is concerned, Dot Net 4.0, RML Utilities, Report Viewer and its hotfix are installed...but somehow the tracefile would fail 🙁
Can anyone steer in the right direction please.....will be thankful
