SQL server 2014 features

  • Hi,

Previously Microsoft had a nice easy to view break down of what features where in what products.

Does anyone have a link for the 2014 ones? I can see any break down of the developer edition. Does it include the profiler?

Spoken to 2 people at Microsoft and neither one of them can confirm or provide a feature break down list.

    Thanks,

    Rob

Developer edition includes everything that's in the Enterprise edition, so you have nothing to worry about there.

If you haven't even tried to resolve your issue, please don't expect the hard-working volunteers here to waste their time providing links to answers which you could easily have found yourself.

  • Thanks Phil,

Don't suppose you know if you can get this free if you are an MCP?

    Thanks Phil,

If you look around, it only costs $44USD. We've all bought books that cost more than that.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

Really? Because I found it in about 10 seconds with Google.

Features Supported by the Editions of SQL Server 2014

    Note

For features supported by Evaluation and Developer editions see the SQL Server Enterprise feature set.

Additionally if you have an MSDN subscription (personally or through work) you can also access the SQL Server software. If that does not work and the developer price is too high you can get SQL Server Enterprise Edition for 180 days on a trial period.
